The Entry/Exit System (EES) offers an efficient and secure method for digitally recording the entry and exit of third-country nationals. The system records personal data, photos, fingerprint data, and entry/exit dates, replacing manual passport stamping. The electronic dossier created in this way can be accessed by border and migration authorities and contributes to security within the European Union. Travelers can also check their travel data to see how long they can stay in the Schengen area or when they may re-enter.
